The home of quality Paint halter horses, Triple P Ranch is located near Phoenix in Laveen, Arizona.  Brothers Steven and Douglas McDaniel specialize in breeding, raising and training halter Paints at their ranch, named in memory of their deceased father A.L. “Pete” McDaniel, who passed on his love of horses through Pete’s Paints of Phoenix.

In 1992, Steven and Doug broke into the Paint Horse industry after Steve graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and moved to Arizona.

Steve was introduced to Kiwi Farms in Gilbert, Arizona---well known for their all-around Paint show horses.  The ranch acquired a yearling filly out of Im Easy, a 1985 red dun overo stallion at Kiwi Farms.  This 1992 red roan overo filly—Something In White---began her show career in both Western pleasure and English events, under the training and supervision of Betti Smith Show Horses in Phoenix.  Something In White retired from the show ring after a few years with 117 lifetime points, Superior in Novice Amateur Western pleasure and Register of Merits in Western pleasure and hunter under saddle.  The mare is presently working with the Arizona State University Special Kids Program in Phoenix.

In 1995, Steve and Doug decided to change focus and work solely with halter horses.  In 2001, they purchased the broodmare, Peeka Boo Clu,  a chestnut overo whose bloodlines include Conclusive and Sockett. This mare has produced four overo Paint foals since 2001, who have thus far attained a total of 407 points and her 2006 colt was APHA High Point Honor Yearling Stallion under the guidance of Vonnie Gesinske in Strathmore CA.

Since then the ranch has purchased or raised several broodmares to date and will have several foals in 2008 and 2009 for sale so feel free to contact us if you are interested in one of them.
